To provide a brake operation device which can accurately detect operation of a brake pedal with a simple structure.SOLUTION: A brake operation device includes: pushers 19, 20 connected to a brake pedal 2; a fluid pressure mechanism 5 which is provided between the pushers 19, 20 and a pressing member 27 and transmits thrust force of the pushers 19, 20 to the pressing member 27 through fluid pressure; first elastic mechanisms 23a, 23b which generate elastic force in a direction such that the pushers 19, 20 are separated from the pressing member 27; a cylinder 18 which houses the pushers 19, 20 and restricts a retract end in the direction such that the pushers 19, 20 are separated from the pressing member 27; and a second elastic mechanism 37 which is provided at a position that enables the second elastic mechanism 37 to press the cylinder 18 to the pressing member 27 side and generates elastic force acting against the elastic force of the first elastic mechanisms 23a, 23b that separates the pushers 19, 20 from the pressing member 27.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
