To provide slip state determination method of a tire which is capable of predicting grip limit of the tire one by one at any time.SOLUTION: In the slip state determination method of the tire which determines slip condition relative to road surface of the tire T of a wheel Wf connected to an engine E via an operation device D, it detects rotational fluctuation of the operation device D and rotational fluctuation of a wheel W of the wheel Wf and determines shifting slip condition of the tire T with accuracy by predicting elastic slip limit of the tire T one by one at any time without being influenced by individual difference, secular change and variation of road surface and so on of the tire T because determining that the slip condition of the tire T enters the shifting slip condition by exceeding the elastic slip limit if amplitude ratio m of rotational fluctuation amplitude of the wheel W with respect to rotational fluctuation amplitude of the operation device D increases suddenly or if phase lag Ψof rotational fluctuation of the wheel W with respect to the rotational fluctuation of the operation device D approaches 90deg and can perform traction control and anti-lock brake control precisely.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】 その時々におけるタイヤのグリップ限界を逐次予測することが可能なタイヤの滑り状態判定方法を提供する。【解決手段】 エンジンEに作動装置Dを介して接続される車輪WfのタイヤTの路面に対する滑り状態を判定するタイヤの滑り状態判定方法において、作動装置Dの回転変動および車輪WfのホイールWの回転変動を検出し、作動装置Dの回転変動振幅に対するホイールWの回転変動振幅の振幅比mが急激に増加した場合、あるいは作動装置Dの回転変動に対するホイールWの回転変動の位相遅れΨ1が90degに接近した場合に、タイヤTの滑り状態が弾性滑り限界を超えて移動滑り状態に入ったと判定するので、タイヤTの個体差や経年変化、路面状況の変化などに影響されずに、その時々におけるタイヤTの弾性滑り限界を逐次予測してタイヤTの移動滑り状態を的確に判定し、トラクション制御やアンチロックブレーキ制御を精度良く行うことができる。【選択図】 図6
