To provide a battery protection device which protects a battery from excessive voltage reduction caused by cranking.SOLUTION: A battery protection device 1 comprises: a battery 11 which supplies power to a starter motor 2 when cranking an engine 3; a coil type reay 12 including a switch 121 which is connected in series to the battery 11 and a coil 122 which is connected in parallel to the battery 11; and a control part 11 by which, in a case where a predictive voltage of the battery 11 which is reduced in the case of cranking is lower than a drive voltage of the coil type relay 12 which is calculated from a temperature of the coil 122, a vehicle VE is notified of the predictive voltage that is lower than the drive voltage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
