To provide a light-weight vehicle collision detection device which can accurately detect collision forms while having a simple structure which is small in the number of part items.SOLUTION: A vehicle collision detection device has a hollow tube member 4 (a main tube 4a, a sub-tube 4b), a hollow telescopic part 5 (a telescopic tube 5a), a sensor 6 and a control part. The sensor is air-tightly connected to the tube member, and detects a pressure change. The control part can discriminate collision forms on the basis of the pressure change of the sensor. At the discrimination, the sensor outputs a detection result of positive pressure in one collision form, and outputs a detection result of negative pressure in the other collision form.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】部品点数の少ないシンプルな構成でありながら、衝突形態を高精度に検知することが可能な軽量の車両衝突検知装置を提供する。【解決手段】中空のチューブ部材4(メインチューブ4a、サブチューブ4b)と、中空の伸縮部5(伸縮チューブ5a)と、センサ6と、制御部と、を有する。センサは、チューブ部材に対して気密的に連結され、圧力変化を検出する。制御部は、センサの圧力変化に基づいて、衝突形態を判別可能である。判別に際し、一方の衝突形態において、センサは、正圧の検出結果を出力し、他方の衝突形態において、センサは、負圧の検出結果を出力する。【選択図】図1
