To provide a tilt hinge mechanism that can prevent a steering column from moving down by its own weight.SOLUTION: A tilt hinge mechanism 100 configured to support a steering column 12 so that the steering column is swingable relative to a vehicle body includes: a pivot member 26 as a tilt center; a housing 23 (support member) including an insertion hole 25 through which the pivot member 26 extends; and a one-way clutch 40 allowing an outer circumference of an outer wheel 42 to be fitted into the insertion hole 25 in a state where the pivot member 26 is fitted to an inner circumference of an inner wheel 41. The one-way clutch 40 allows the steering column 12 to move upward in a first direction relative to the pivot member 26 and restricts the steering column 12 from moving downward in a second direction relative to the pivot member 26.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
