To maintain or improve energy absorption performance when vehicles are collided while reducing weight in a vehicle structural member.SOLUTION: A vehicle structural member 1 has a metal hollow member 10 and a plurality of plate-like reinforcement members 20 which are bonded to an inner surface of the hollow member 10 and are arranged at intervals along a member longitudinal direction X of the hollow member 10 in the way that the inner space of the hollow member 10 is divided. When length of a plane part of the hollow member 10 on a cross section vertical to the member longitudinal direction X of the hollow member 10 is defined as plane width, the respective reinforcement members 20 are arranged in the direction in which plate surfaces of the reinforcement members 20 become vertical to the member longitudinal direction X of the hollow member 10 and are arranged at intervals 0.8 as wide as or smaller than the smallest plane width of the hollow member 10 all across the member longitudinal direction X of the hollow member 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】車両用構造部材において、軽量化を図りつつ、車両衝突時のエネルギー吸収性能を維持または向上させる。【解決手段】金属製の中空部材10と、中空部材10の内面に接合された、該中空部材10の内方空間を隔てるように該中空部材10の部材長手方向Xに沿って間隔をおいて複数配置された板状の補強部材20とを備え、中空部材10の部材長手方向Xに垂直な断面における該中空部材10の平面部の長さを平面幅と定義したとすると、各補強部材20が、該補強部材20の板面が中空部材10の部材長手方向Xに垂直となる向きで、かつ中空部材10の部材長手方向Xの全域にわたって中空部材10の最小の平面幅の0.8倍以下の間隔で配置されるように、車両用構造部材1を構成する。【選択図】図4
