To provide a battery gas discharge device which enables reduction of hazardous components discharged into a closed space.SOLUTION: A gas discharge device 20 includes: a battery 6; a battery pack 7 which houses the battery 6; a removal device 11 including a catalyst 5; a first passage 21 for discharging a battery gas to outer air without causing the battery gas to go through the catalyst 5; a second passage 22 which discharges the battery gas to the outer air through the catalyst 5; an electromagnetic valve 23 which switches between the first passage 21 and the second passage 22; and a CPU 31 which controls the electromagnetic valve 23 to cause the first passage 21 or the second passage 22 to discharge the battery gas to the outer air.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
