To prevent an electrical current from flowing into a living thing even if the living thing touches an on-road contact, in a contact type power supply device.SOLUTION: A contact type power supply device 100 that touches a vehicle-side contact of a vehicle to supply power to the vehicle, comprises: a grounded power source 110; an on-road contact unit 130 having at least a pair of on-road contacts 132a, 132b laid on a road and exposed from a surface of the road so as be able to touch the vehicle-side contact, and an insulator 134 that electrically insulates the on-road contacts from each other and each of the on-road contacts from the road; and an insulation transformer 120 that is provided between the power source and each of the on-road contacts and electrically insulates the power source from each of the on-road contacts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
