To provide a vehicle control system, a method for controlling a vehicle, and a program that can control an own vehicle so that other vehicles in number according to the feature of a meeting place enter the own lane.SOLUTION: In the vehicle control system, an automatic driving controller 100 includes: a recognition unit for recognizing the environment around an own vehicle; an action plan generation unit and a second controller as operation control units for controlling the speed and the steering of the own vehicle on the basis of the result of the recognition by the recognition unit; a counter unit for counting the number of other vehicles which have entered the own lane of the own vehicle from the lane adjacent to the own lane in front of the vehicle running ahead of the own vehicle in the own lane, on the basis of the result of the recognition by the recognition unit; and a vehicle number determining unit for determining the number of vehicles to be permitted to enter the own lane from the lane adjacent to the own lane between the own vehicle and the vehicle running ahead of the own lane on the basis of the number counted by the counting unit. The operation control unit controls the own vehicle so that other vehicles in number determined by the number determination unit enter the space between the own vehicle and the vehicle running ahead of the own vehicle in the own lane.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】合流箇所の特徴に応じた台数の他車両が自車線に合流するように、自車両を制御することができる車両制御システム、車両制御方法及びプログラムを提供する。【解決手段】車両制御システムにおいて、自動運転制御装置100は、自車両の周辺環境を認識する認識部と、認識部の認識結果に基づいて自車両の速度又は操舵を制御する運転制御部としての行動計画生成部及び第2制御部と、認識部の認識結果に基づいて、自車線において自車両の前方を走行する前走車両の前方に隣接車線から車線変更した他車両の台数をカウントするカウント部と、カウント部によってカウントされた台数に基づいて、自車両と前走車両との間に、隣接車線から車線変更してくる他車両の進入を許容する台数を決定する台数決定部とを備える。運転制御部は、台数決定部によって決定された台数の他車両を、自車線における自車両と前走車両との間に進入させるように自車両を制御する。【選択図】図2
