To provide a battery controller capable of suppressing a cost rise in the battery controller caused by addition of an abnormality detection function of a cell block.SOLUTION: A battery controller, executing voltage equalization of each of cell blocks with a battery constituted by connecting, in series, two or more cell blocks connected in parallel to a plurality of battery cells as a control object, includes: a detection section for detecting each of voltages between positive and negative electrodes of respective cell blocks; a voltage equalization circuit in which a plurality of discharge units formed by connecting at least one discharge element with a switching element in series are provided to correspond to the cell blocks and in which the discharge units are connected between the positive and negative electrodes of the cell blocks, respectively; and a control section for controlling the switching elements to equalize a voltage of each of the cell blocks. The control section controls each of the switching elements to execute discharge of each of the cell blocks for only first time at a predetermined timing and to determine the presence/absence of abnormality in the cell block on the basis of a voltage difference of each of the cell blocks before and after discharge.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】セルブロック異常検知機能の追加に伴うバッテリ制御装置のコスト上昇を抑制できるバッテリ制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】複数の電池セルが並列に接続されたセルブロックを2つ以上直列に接続して構成されるバッテリを制御対象とし、各セルブロックの電圧均等化を実行するバッテリ制御装置であって、各セルブロックの正負極間の電圧をそれぞれ検出する検出部と、少なくとも1つの放電素子とスイッチング素子とが直列に接続された放電ユニットをセルブロックに対応して複数有し、各セルブロックの正負極間に放電ユニットをそれぞれ接続させた電圧均等化回路と、各スイッチング素子を制御して各セルブロックの電圧を均等化させる制御部と、を備え、制御部は、所定のタイミングで、各スイッチング素子を制御して各セルブロックの放電を第1時間だけ実施し、放電前後における各セルブロックの電圧差に基づいてセルブロックの異常の有無を判断する。【選択図】図1
