To detect that insulation resistance of an electric system tends to decrease.SOLUTION: An insulation resistance reduction detection device includes: an oscillation power source; a detection resistor whose one terminal is connected to the oscillation power source; a coupling capacitor connected between the other terminal of the detection resistor and an electric system; and a determination device for determining reduction in insulation resistance of the electric system on the basis of a voltage amplitude of a connection point to which the other terminal and the coupling capacitor are connected.
