To provide a passenger boarding bridge capable of avoiding mounting a cab on an aircraft as a travel wheel travels backward.SOLUTION: An example passenger boarding bridge comprises: a rotunda 4 which is connected to a terminal building and supported in a horizontally rotatable state; a tunnel part 5 which has a base end connected to the rotunda 4, and can extend and contract; a cab 6 which is provided atop of the tunnel part 5, and mounted on an aircraft; a travel device 10 which has a travel wheel 9 supporting the tunnel part 5 and enabled to travel forward and backward, and is configured to change directions of forward and backward travels of the travel wheel 9; an operation device which is operated to input operation commands to the travel device; and a determination part which repeatedly determines whether the direction of a current forward travel of the travel wheel 9 is within a forward travel-dedicated mountable range during a period in which the cab 6 begins to move from a predetermined position and is mounted on the aircraft as the operation device is operated and the travel wheel 9 travels.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】 走行車輪の後進走行によるキャブの航空機への装着を回避できる旅客搭乗橋を提供する。【解決手段】 本発明の旅客搭乗橋の一例は、ターミナルビルに接続され、水平回転自在に支持されたロタンダ4と、基端がロタンダ4に接続され、伸縮可能なトンネル部5と、トンネル部5の先端に設けられ、航空機に装着されるキャブ6と、トンネル部5を支持するとともに、前進走行及び後進走行が可能な走行車輪9を有し、走行車輪9の前進走行の方向及び後進走行の方向を変更可能に構成された走行装置10と、走行装置に対する動作指令を入力するために操作される操作装置と、操作装置が操作されて走行車輪9が走行することによってキャブ6が所定位置からの移動を開始してから航空機に装着されるまでの間に、現在の走行車輪9の前進走行の方向が前進専用装着可能範囲内の方向であるか否かの判定を繰り返し行う判定部と、を備えている。【選択図】 図1
