To provide an article conveyance facility capable of shortening the time to utilization start.SOLUTION: In an article conveyance facility, an overhead carrier performs: a first transferring operation for holding an article placed on a placing table at a conveyance source, by using a holding unit; and a second transferring operation for placing the article held by the holding unit on a placing table at a conveyance destination. Also in the article conveyance facility, a control device makes an imaging apparatus mounted to the overhead carrier acquire a first photographic image IM1 in which a top face of the article placed on the placing table at the conveyance source is an imaging object, before the first transferring operation, in order to adjust a relative positional relation of the holding unit relative to the article placed on the placing table at the conveyance source, on the basis of the first photographic image IM1 and first reference image data SD1. Further, the control device makes the imaging apparatus acquire a second photographic image IM2 in which a top face of the placing table at the conveyance destination is an imaging object, before the second transferring operation, in order to adjust a relative positional relation of the holding unit relative to the placing table at the conveyance destination, on the basis of the second photographic image IM2 and second reference image data SD2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
