To prevent or suppress reduction of accuracy of detecting an object even under a condition that makes a change in the attitude of a vehicle.SOLUTION: An object detector 10 used with a vehicle includes: a detection unit 20 for detecting environmental information around a vehicle; and a detection unit driving unit 30 for changing the attitude of the detection unit. The object detector 10 has a control unit 100 for acquiring attitude information showing a change of attitude of the vehicle or showing a predicted change of attitude of the vehicle and for causing the detection unit driving unit to change the attitude of the detection unit by using the acquired attitude information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
