To prevent erosion of a contact point when discharging electric charge of a smoothing capacitor.SOLUTION: A rapid discharge device 40 discharging electric charge of a smoothing capacitor 42 smoothing an electric voltage between a pair of the power lines transferring electric power to an inverter 70 activated during travel of a vehicle 10 comprises: a discharge part 41 in parallel with the smoothing capacitor 42; and a collision detection switch 50 which supplies a trigger current on the basis of an electric potential difference of the pair of the power lines. The discharge part 41 includes: a self hold switch part (relays 43, 46) which brings the pair of the power lines into a conductive state by the trigger current and keeps the conductive state without the trigger current; and a first resistance part (resistance 45, 47, exciting coil of the relays 43, 46) consuming electric power when the self hold switch part is in the conductive state. The collision detection switch 50 supplies the self hold switch part with the trigger current when active force of collision makes a contact point be in the conductive state. 【課題】平滑コンデンサの電荷の放電時の接点の溶損の防止。【解決手段】急速放電装置40は、車両10の走行中に作動するインバータ70に電力を送る電力線対間の電圧を平滑化する平滑コンデンサ42の電荷を放電する装置であり、平滑コンデンサ42と並列の放電部41と、電力線対の電位差でトリガ電流を供給する衝突検知スイッチ50とを備える。放電部41は、トリガ電流により電力線対間を導通状態に切替えトリガ電流無しでも導通状態を維持する自己保持スイッチ部(リレー43,46)と、自己保持スイッチ部が導通状態である場合に通る電力を消費する第1抵抗部(抵抗器45,47、リレー43,46の励磁コイル)とを含む。衝突検知スイッチ50は、衝突の作用力による接点の接触で導通状態に切替わることによりトリガ電流を自己保持スイッチ部に供給する。トリガ電流を抑制する第2抵抗部(抵抗器44、リレー43の励磁コイル)をさらに備える。【選択図】図1
