To reduce complexity of control in a re-operation after interruption of the operation in an electric parking brake device.SOLUTION: An electric parking brake device applies parking brake by generating fastening force between a rotary member and a friction member. A controller for controlling an electric motor executes application control of supplying a normal rotation current-carrying amount to the electric motor when applying the parking brake, supplying the normal rotation current-carrying amount from the time when the supply is started to the specific time when the influence of the inrush current of the electric motor is eliminated, supplying the normal rotation current-carrying amount when the normal rotation current-carrying amount is less than an application threshold after the specific time, and stopping the normal rotation current-carrying amount when the normal rotation current-carrying amount is equal to or greater than the application threshold. The controller performs prediction determination on whether or not the fastening force becomes excessive in the request termination when the interruption is requested during execution of the application control, continues the application control when the prediction determination is confirmed, and interrupts the application control when the prediction determination is denied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】 電動駐車ブレーキ装置で作動中断後の再作動における制御の煩雑さを低減する。【解決手段】 電動駐車ブレーキ装置は、回転部材と摩擦部材との間に締付力を発生して駐車ブレーキを効かせる。電気モータを制御するコントローラは、駐車ブレーキを効かせる際に、正転通電量を電気モータに供給し、その供給を開始する時点から電気モータの突入電流の影響がなくなる特定時点までは正転通電量を供給し、特定時点の後は、正転通電量が適用しきい量未満の場合には正転通電量を供給し、正転通電量が適用しきい量以上の場合には正転通電量を停止する適用制御を実行する。コントローラは、適用制御の実行中にその中断が要求される場合には、要求終了の際に締付力が過剰となるか、否かの予測判定を行い、予測判定が肯定される場合には適用制御を継続し、予測判定が否定される場合には適用制御を中断する。【選択図】 図6
