To solve the problem that a generation of a target course is made unstable by an interruption of a dividing line, a fluctuation of a lane width and occurrence of a read failure of the dividing line caused by existence of the other vehicle since the number of lanes is increased/decreased in a section where a road branches from a main track and a section where the road merges to the main track.SOLUTION: A course generation device comprises an inhibition section determination unit which determines an environmental information course use inhibition section until a vehicle location passes a branch completion point or a merge completion point in the case where a road branches from a main track or the road merges to the main track, and a course selection unit is provided for selecting any one of an environmental information course and a route information course at a normal time and selecting the route information course in the environmental information course use inhibition section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】道路が本線から分流する区間、本線へ合流する区間において、車線数が増減するため区画線の途切れ、車線幅の変動、他の車両の存在による区画線の読み取り障害の発生による目標進路の生成の不安定化の問題があった。【解決手段】本願に係る進路生成装置は、本線からの分流または本線への合流の場合に、車両位置が分流完了地点または合流完了地点を通過するまでの間は環境情報進路使用禁止区間と判定する禁止区間判定部を設け、通常時は環境情報進路とルート情報進路のいずれかを選択するとともに、環境情報進路使用禁止区間ではルート情報進路を選択する進路選択部、を備えたものである。【選択図】図1
