To provide a ground fault detection device, in which a decrease in the accuracy of estimating insulating resistance is prevented even when the capacitance of a capacitor for detection has changed.SOLUTION: The ground fault detection device comprises: a switch group for switching between a first measurement path that includes a battery and a capacitor, a second measurement path that includes a battery, a negative insulating resistance, and a capacitor, and a third measurement path that includes a battery, a positive insulating resistance, and a capacitor; and a control unit for calculating a reference value on the basis of each charge voltage of capacitor in each measurement path and calculating insulating resistance referring to a prescribed conversion map. The conversion map includes a conversion map that corresponds to the capacitances of capacitors, and the control unit estimates the capacitance of a capacitor and refers to the conversion map that corresponds to the estimated capacitance of the capacitor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
