To control a hydraulic cylinder pressure to an appropriate magnitude corresponding to the condition of an undulating member for restraining the backward rotation of the undulating member.SOLUTION: A backward rotation restraint device 20 comprises a hydraulic cylinder 35, a condition monitoring unit 71, and a cylinder pressure control unit 60. The hydraulic cylinder 35 exerts a force in a direction (D1) to rotate an undulating member (13) forward X1 on the undulating member (13). The condition monitoring unit 71 monitors the condition of the undulating member (13) including a constitution length and a derricking angle (θ). The cylinder pressure control unit 60 controls the pressure of the hydraulic cylinder 35 based on the condition of the undulating member (13) monitored by the condition monitoring unit 71.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
