To provide a vehicle position detection device which detects a vehicle position highly accurately without complicating processing.SOLUTION: A vehicle position detection device includes a storage unit, an acquisition unit, and a detection unit. The storage unit stores track information concerning each track connecting two branch points. The acquisition unit acquires positioning information and advancing information of a vehicle and acquires position information of each branch point and connection track information about each connection track connected to each branch point from the track information. The detection unit detects the existence of the vehicle on a second track continuing to the first track based on an existence detection result showing the existence of the vehicle on the first track, the positioning information of the vehicle, the advancing information, and the connection track information of the first track.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】処理を複雑化させずに高精度に車両位置を検出する車両位置検出装置を提供すること。【解決手段】実施形態に係る車両位置検出装置は、記憶部、取得部、及び検出部を備える。前記記憶部は、二つの分岐点を接続する各線路に関する線路情報を記憶する。前記取得部は、車両の測位情報及び進行情報を取得し、前記線路情報から各分岐点の位置情報及び各分岐点に接続される各接続線路に関する接続線路情報を取得する。前記検出部は、第1の線路に前記車両が在線することを示す在線検出結果、前記車両の測位情報、進行情報、及び前記第1の線路の接続線路情報に基づき前記第1の線路に続く第2の線路に前記車両が在線することを検出する。【選択図】 図1
