To provide an operation prediction device capable of appropriately predicting operation of a traffic participant existing in the periphery of a vehicle.SOLUTION: An operation prediction device detects a traffic participant existing in a predetermined range from peripheral data representing a situation in the predetermined range in the periphery of a vehicle, determines whether or not there is a blind spot area that is not represented in the peripheral data in the predetermined range, and when it is determined that there is the blind spot area, assumes that a virtual traffic participant exists in the blind spot area, and predicts operation of the traffic participant caused by existence of the virtual traffic participant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】車両の周辺に存在する交通参加者の動作を適切に予測することができる動作予測装置を提供する。【解決手段】動作予測装置は、車両の周辺のうち所定範囲の状況を表す周辺データから、所定範囲に存在する交通参加者を検出し、所定範囲に、周辺データに表されていない死角領域があるか否かを判定し、死角領域があると判定された場合、死角領域に仮想交通参加者が存在すると仮定し、仮想交通参加者の存在に起因する交通参加者の動作を予測する。【選択図】図4
