To provide an excellent ship propulsion unit using waves capable of easily realizing a self-propelled boat which can navigate by converting vertical movements of waves to water jet propulsion based on a new idea and principle.SOLUTION: A ship propulsion unit using waves comprises an oscillating-interlocking pump 5 in which a piston part 3 reciprocates in a cylinder part 4 due to relative oscillation, and which is provided between an oscillation part 1 moving up/down due to waves and an in-water non-oscillation part 2 located at a water depth. The ship propulsion unit using waves has the configuration that water is discharged behind the hull 6 and a forward propulsion is generated due to the discharge force generated by the reciprocating motion of the piston part 3 in the cylinder part 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】新たな発想、原理に基づき、波の上下動を水のジェット推進力に変えて走行することができる自走式船を容易に実現できる優れた波を利用した船用推進装置を提供すること。【解決手段】波により上下動する揺動部1と、水深位置に配置されている水中非揺動部2との間に、相対的揺動によりピストン部3がシリンダー部4内で往復動する揺動連動ポンプ部5を設け、このシリンダー部4内でのピストン部3の往復動により生じる吐出力により船体6の後方に水が吐出されて前方への推進力が生じる構成とした波を利用した船用推進装置。【選択図】図1
