To provide a vessel propulsion device capable of reducing resistance when directly advancing in front to back direction while including a function for generating a force working on vessel width direction.SOLUTION: A vessel propulsion device includes: a duct provided on a bottom of a hull, having a plurality of side plates extending in front to back direction of the hull as well being provided with spacing in vessel width direction, and formed with flow paths extending in the front to back direction in between adjacent side plates; a plurality of propellers respectively provided in each flow path and generating a front to back direction flow in the flow paths; and a plurality of rudders provided to be capable of revolving around an axis line extending in the vertical direction along rear edges of respective side plates and extending in the radial direction of the axis line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
