To provide a gripping member for a vehicle with an improved design.SOLUTION: An assist grip 3 comprises a base material 35, a first skin material 71 disposed on a front surface side of the base material 35, and a second skin material 72 disposed on a front surface side of the first skin material 71. The second skin material 72 comprises a body part 76 constituting its front surface, and folding parts 77 and 78 formed by folding ends of the second skin material 72 to a rear side of the body part 76 and overlappingly placed on a rear surface of the body part 76. In the folding parts 77 and 78, surfaces 77B and 78B on the opposite side of surfaces 77A and 78A facing the rear surface of the body part 76 are mounted on the front surface of the first skin material 71.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
