To provide a tire test method that can replicate crack resulting from flaw and fissure, which occurs at a side part.SOLUTION: A tire test method includes a step S1 of performing deterioration treatment to a tire, a step S2 of performing processing treatment to the tire, and a step S3 of making the tire run on a running surface of a running test device. By the processing treatment, a notch is formed in a side part of the tire. A position where the notch is formed is a position of maximum surface distortion where surface distortion caused in the side part of the tire when a load is put on the tire becomes maximum. A protrusion extending in an axial direction of the tire is formed on the running surface of the running test device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】サイド部で発生する、傷やひび割れを起点とするクラックを再現できる、タイヤ試験方法の提供。【解決手段】タイヤ試験方法は、タイヤに対して劣化処理を行う工程S1と、タイヤに対して加工処理を行う工程S2と、走行試験装置の走行面上でタイヤを走行させる工程S3とを含む。加工処理として、タイヤのサイド部に切り込みが入れられる。切り込みを入れる位置は、タイヤに荷重をかけた時にタイヤのサイド部に生じる表面歪みが最大になる、最大表面歪みの位置である。走行試験装置の走行面に、タイヤの軸方向にのびる突起が設けられる。【選択図】図2
