To provide a vehicle body rear structure capable of improving the rigidity of a rear seat part while maintaining high assembly workability of a rear seat.SOLUTION: A vehicle body rear structure includes: a reinforcement bracket 310 provided at an inner side in a vehicle width direction of a rear fender arch part 120 connected with a side sill 110 and a rear pillar 130 on a vehicle forward side of a rear wheel house WH; and a seat hinge 330 provided extending in the vehicle width direction on a vehicle lower side of a vehicle seat. On the reinforcement bracket 310, a recessed part RS recessed toward the outside in the vehicle width direction is formed, and on the inner side in a vehicle width direction of the recessed part RS, an outer end in a vehicle width direction of the seat hinge 330 is arranged in proximity to an outside surface in the vehicle width direction of the recessed part RS with a space.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
