The present invention relates to a propeller shaft having an impact energy absorbing function for an automobile to absorb and reduce impact energy when an impact accident of an automobile occurs and, more specifically, provides a propeller shaft having an impact energy absorbing function for an automobile, wherein a collet and an O-ring are provided between a front shaft and a rear shaft to doubly absorb impact energy when an automobile impact occurs, thereby improving an impact energy absorbing function to secure an optimal collapse load, and simultaneously, minimizing the number of components compared to a conventional shaft.

    본 발명은 차량의 충돌 사고 발생시 충돌 에너지를 흡수하여 저감할 수 있는 충돌 에너지 흡수형 프로펠러 샤프트에 관한 것으로서, 프론트 샤프트와 리어 샤프트 사이에 콜렛과 오링을 구비하여 차량의 충돌 발생시 이중으로 충돌 에너지를 흡수할 수 있게 구성됨으로써 충돌 에너지 흡수 기능을 향상하여 최적의 붕괴하중을 확보하는 동시에 종래 대비 부품수를 최소화한 충돌 에너지 흡수형 프로펠러 샤프트를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다.
