According to the present invention, provided is a device for measuring a tire tread comprising: a vertical detection means for scanning a tire tread surface of a stopped vehicle in an up and down direction to determine a tread surface perpendicular to an irradiation path of a distance measuring part; and a wear degree determining means for determining a wear degree of the tire tread on the basis of the determined vertical tread surface. According to the present invention, in measuring the wear of the tire tread, a tire can be measured in a mounted state without having to remove the tire from a vehicle body, and is capable of securing a reliability of determining the tire wear by fundamentally preventing an error formed due to hand trembling and the like through manual work such that a disadvantage of not being able to secure a reliability of determining the wear degree is not obtained.

    본 발명은 정차되어 있는 자동차의 타이어 트레드 표면을 상하방향으로 스캔하여 거리측정부의 조사경로와 수직인 트레드 면을 결정하는 수직 탐지수단 및 결정된 수직 트레드 면을 기준으로 타이어 트레드의 마모도를 판단하는 마모도 판단수단을 포함하는 타이어 트레드 측정장치를 제공한다. 본 발명에 따르면 타이어 트레드 마모를 측정함에 있어 타이어를 자동차 본체로부터 분리시킬 필요없이 장착된 상태에서 측정할 수 있으며, 수작업을 통하여 손떨림등에 의한 오차가 발생하여 마모도 판단에 대한 신뢰성을 확보할 수 없다는 단점을 원천적으로 방지함으로써 타이어 마모 판단에 대한 신뢰성을 확보할 수 있다.
