Provided is a method of restarting an engine of a hybrid vehicle with a manual transmission, which enables the engine to be quickly restarted when the engine is stopped due to inexperienced driving irrespective of the driver′s intention, thereby shortening time required to restart the engine and improving the convenience of the driver unfamiliar with the operation of a manual transmission. The method of restarting an engine of a hybrid vehicle comprises the steps of: starting the engine if a clutch signal is input after the vehicle is stopped and the engine is stopped; checking the driver′s intention if the engine is stopped while started; and, if it is determined that the engine is stopped due to inexperienced driving irrespective of the driver′s intention as a result of checking the driver′s intention, restarting the engine automatically in a minimum clutch signal status in which the engine can be started.

    수동변속기가 구비된 하이브리드 차량에서, 운전자의 의도와는 무관하게 운전 미숙으로 인해 엔진이 정지한 경우, 신속하게 엔진을 재시동시켜 엔진 재시동시간을 단축하고, 수동변속기 운전에 익숙하지 않은 운전자의 편의성 향상을 도모하도록 한 하이브리드 차량의 엔진 재시동방법에 관한 것으로서, 차량이 정차하여 엔진이 정지된 후, 클러치 신호가 입력되면 엔진을 시동시키는 단계, 엔진이 시동된 상태에서 엔진이 정지되면, 운전자의 의도를 확인하는 단계 및 운전자의 의도를 확인한 결과, 운전자의 의도와는 무관하게 운전미숙으로 엔진이 정지된 것으로 판단이 되면, 엔진 시동 가능한 최소 클러치 신호 상태에서 엔진을 자동으로 재시동시키는 단계를 포함하여, 하이브리드 차량의 엔진 재시동방법을 구현한다.
