The present invention relates to an air conditioning system for an electric vehicle and a control method thereof, which are able to prevent flash fogging of the windshield, which occurs as moisture collected in an inner heat exchanger is evaporated as the inner heat exchanger, which has served as an evaporator, changes its role into a condenser when the air conditioning system with a four-way valve is converted from a cooling mode into a heating mode. According to the present invention, the control method for the air conditioning system for an electric vehicle comprises: a step of determining whether the current air conditioning mode is set to be a cooling mode or a heating mode; a step of, when the current air conditioning mode is set to be the heating mode, determining if a request for entry into the inner heat exchanger drying mode has been received; a step of, if the request for entry into the inner heat exchanger drying mode has been received, conducting a drying operation of the inner heat exchanger for a preset time by entering the inner heat exchanger drying mode; and a step of, when the drying operation of the inner heat exchanger is ended, operating in the preset normal heating mode.

    본 발명은 4방밸브가 적용된 공조 시스템에서 냉방 모드로 작동하다가 난방 모드로 전환될 경우에 증발기 역할을 하던 내부열교환기가 응축기 역할로 변경되면서 내부열교환기에 고여 있던 수분이 증발되어 윈드실드에 플래시 포깅을 발생시키는 현상을 방지할 수 있는 전기 자동차의 공조 시스템 및 그 제어 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 전기 자동차용 공조 시스템의 제어 방법은, 현재의 공조 모드가 냉방 모드 또는 난방 모드로 설정되었는지 여부를 판단하는 단계와; 현재의 공조 모드가 난방 모드로 설정된 경우, 내부열교환기 건조 모드로의 진입 요청이 수신되었는지 여부를 판단하는 단계와; 내부열교환기 건조 모드로 진입 요청이 수신되면, 내부열교환기 건조 모드로 진입하여 설정시간 동안 내부열교환기의 건조 동작을 수행하는 단계와; 내부열교환기 건조 동작이 종료되면 설정된 정상 난방 모드로 동작시키는 단계;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
