The present invention relates to a method for cracking down on a motorcycle sidewalk driving violation. A use of motorcycle on a sidewalk is prohibited by the Road Traffic Act, but a violation against the Act threatens safety of a pedestrian, therefore, it is necessary to eradicate such an illegal activity. An existing enforcement method is conducted by a police officer, but continuous and effective detection is difficult to be performed because of limitation of police manpower. If effective enforcement is possible and the illegal activity is eradicated through an automatic tagging method using an electronic tag chip or a terminal, effective staffing of police forces in other sectors is possible, and ultimately, the safety of the pedestrian is secured.

    이륜차의 보도 이용은 도로교통법상 금지되어 있으나, 이를 위반 하여 보행자의 안전한 보행을 위협하므로 이러한 불법 행위를 근절시킬 필요성이 대두됨. 기존의 단속법은 경찰 인력을 통한 현장 적발로만 이루어지고 있으나 경찰 인력의 한계로 인해 지속적이고 효과적인 적발이 어려운 실정. 전자태그 칩 또는 단말기를 통한 자동화 단속 방법을 통해 효과적인 단속이 가능해지고 위법행위가 근절된다면 다른 부문으로의 효과적인 경찰 인력 운용이 가능해지며, 궁극적으로 보다 쾌적한 보행자 안전에 도움이 될 것으로 사료됨.
