The present invention relates to a battery system for effectively controlling a battery by dualizing a control for a single failure and a redundant failure. The battery system comprises: a battery; a sensor unit including a voltage sensor for detecting voltage of the battery, and a current sensor for detecting charging/discharging current of the battery; a power relay assembly including a main relay for connecting the battery and a vehicle system; and a battery control system for maintaining the main relay to be turned on, and requesting a fail-safe cooperation control to other controllers so as to enable the other controllers in the vehicle system to perform a charging/discharging torque control by referring to capacitor voltage of an inverter when the voltage sensor and the current sensor detect a redundant failure.

    배터리 시스템은 배터리, 상기 배터리의 전압을 검출하는 전압 센서 및 상기 배터리의 충방전 전류를 검출하는 전류 센서를 포함하는 센서부, 상기 배터리와 차량 시스템을 연결하는 메인 릴레이를 포함하는 파워 릴레이 어셈블리, 및 상기 전압 센서 및 상기 전류 센서의 중복 고장이 감지되면, 상기 메인 릴레이를 온으로 유지하며, 상기 차량 시스템 내 타 제어기가 인버터의 캐패시터 전압을 참조하여 충방전 토크 제어를 수행하도록 상기 타 제어기로 페일 세이프(fail-safe) 협조 제어를 요청하는 배터리 제어 시스템을 포함할 수 있다.
