The present invention relates to an electric vehicle charging device and a control method thereof. The control method of the electric vehicle charging device comprises the steps of: detecting whether an electric vehicle is located in a charging zone; receiving user information about a user who wants to charge the electric vehicle; charging the electric vehicle located in the charging zone; transmitting a preset message to the user based on the user information, when the charging of the electric vehicle is completed; and transmitting the preset message to the user, when the charged electric vehicle is located in the charging zone and a preset event occurs.

    전기차 충전 장치 및 제어 방법이 개시된다. 전기차 충전 장치의 제어 방법은 충전 구역에 전기차가 위치하는지 감지하는 단계, 전기차를 충전하려는 사용자에 대한 사용자 정보를 입력받는 단계, 충전 구역에 위치된 전기차를 충전하는 단계, 전기차의 충전이 완료되는 경우, 사용자 정보에 기초하여 사용자에게 기 설정된 메시지를 전송하는 단계 및 충전이 완료된 전기차가 충전 구역에 위치하고 기 설정된 이벤트가 발생하는 경우, 사용자에게 기 설정된 메시지를 전송하는 단계를 포함한다.
