The present invention relates to a train approach detection system for railway work protection and a method thereof which accurately detect a train approach through combination of an infrared ray, vibration, and sound detection on a track away from a railway work site, prevent an accident to a worker through real-time notification and provide work convenience through detailed setup of a sensor and an operation.

    본 발명은 철로 작업현장에서 떨어진 선로에서 적외선, 진동, 음향감지의 조합을 통해 열차접근을 정확하게 감지하고 작업자에게 실시간 알림을 통해 사고를 방지하되 센서 및 동작의 세부설정을 통해 작업 편의를 제공할 수 있는 철로작업 보호를 위한 열차접근 감지 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것이다.
