Disclosed is a parallel combination type battery pack for an electric vehicle, wherein a battery unit pack composed of a minimum number of parallel and serial components to be suitable for a necessary minimum capacity and a rated voltage of an electric vehicle is designated as a battery string which is a minimum unit for power supply to the electric vehicle, the addition of a parallelly connected battery can lead to an increase in the entire battery pack capacity, every battery string includes a protector, the protector of every battery string constituting the battery pack is controlled with one single common BMS such that all the battery strings combined in parallel can be controlled. According to the present invention, a battery string includes a protector, and the protector of each battery string can be controlled and managed through a common BMS handling the entire battery pack, and, as a result, when a battery string needs to be added in parallel in accordance with the need for an increase in the capacity of the battery pack, the battery string can be safety and easily combined.
전기자동차의 정격 전압과 필요한 최소 용량에 맞도록 최소의 병렬 성분과, 직렬 성분으로 구성 된 배터리 단위팩을 전기자동차 동력 공급을 위한 최소 단위인 배터리 스트링으로 정하고, 병렬 연결되는 배터리 스트링의 추가로 전체 배터리팩 용량을 높일 수 있도록 이루어지며, 배터리 스트링마다 보호장치를 포함하고, 배터리팩을 이루는 모든 배터리 스트링의 보호장치는 1개의 공통 BMS로 콘트롤하여 병렬결합된 배터리 스트링들을 모두 컨트롤할 수 있도록 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 전기자동차용 병렬결합형 배터리팩이 개시된다. 본 발명에 따르면 배터리 스트링에는 보호장치가 구비되어있고, 배터리팩 전체를 통괄하는 공통의 BMS로 각 배터리 스트링의 보호장치를 단속관리 할 수 있으므로 배터리팩 용량 증가 필요에 따라 배터리 스트링을 병렬로 추가할 때 안전하고 쉽게 결합시킬 수 있다.
