The present invention relates to a single-phase/three-phase compatible device and a method of an electric vehicle-mounted charger, wherein an on-board charger (OBC) mounted on an electric vehicle enables full-power charging regardless of the three-phase/single-phase charging infrastructure of the power grid. A controller of the OBC determines whether the charging infrastructure of the power grid is single-phase or three-phase depending on a control pilot signal transmitted from a charger (EVSE) that supplies charging power, outputs a switch opening signal as a power compatible control signal if the charging infrastructure is three-phase power, outputs a switch closing signal as the power compatible control signal if the charging infrastructure is single-phase power, and outputs or distributes power supplied through a connector from a power switching part depending on the power compatible control signal to supply charging power with three phases, thereby enabling the single-type OBC to charge the battery at full power regardless of the single-phase/three-phase charging infrastructure all the time.

    전기차(전기 자동차)에 탑재된 탑재형 충전기(OBC, On Board Charger)가 전력망의 충전 인프라인 삼상/단상 관계없이 풀-파워(Full-Power)로 충전할 수 있도록 한 전기 자동차 탑재형 충전기의 단상/삼상 호환장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 탑재형 충전기의 제어기에서 충전 전력을 공급해주는 충전기(EVSE)로부터 송신되는 제어 파일럿 신호(Control Pilot Signal)에 따라 전력망의 충전 인프라가 단상인지 삼상인지를 판단하고, 충전 인프라가 삼상 전력일 경우, 전력 호환 제어신호로 스위치 오픈 신호를 출력하고, 충전 인프라가 단상 전력일 경우 상기 전력 호환 제어신호로 스위치 클로즈 신호를 출력하며, 전력 스위칭부에서 전력 호환 제어신호에 따라 커넥터를 통해 공급되는 전력을 그대로 출력하거나 분배하여 삼상으로 충전 전력을 공급해줌으로써, 충전 인프라의 단상/삼상과는 무관하게 항상 단일형 탑재형 충전기는 풀-파워로 배터리를 충전할 수 있게 된다.
