The present invention provides a method for controlling the towing mode of an eco-friendly vehicle, which selects one of an eco towing mode, a power towing mode, and a target charging towing mode for battery charging of a vehicle to be towed when a towing vehicle, which is a hybrid vehicle of eco-friendly vehicles, tows the vehicle to be towed, which is an electric vehicle or a hybrid vehicle, causes the motor of the vehicle to be towed to output a charging torque for battery charging along with compensation control that increases the engine output power of the towing vehicle more than the basic output power during acceleration and constant-speed driving, and causes the motor of the vehicle to be towed to output a creep torque or a regenerative braking torque that enables battery charging even during deceleration driving, so that the battery of the vehicle to be towed can be easily charged.
본 발명은 친환경 차량 중 하이브리드 차량인 견인차량이 전기자동차 또는 하이브리드 차량인 피견인차량을 견인할 때, 피견인차량의 배터리 충전을 위한 에코 토잉모드, 파워 토잉모드, 타켓충전 토잉모드 중 하나를 선택하여, 가속 및 정속 주행시 견인차량의 엔진출력파워를 기본출력파워보다 증가시키는 보상 제어와 함께 피견인차량의 모터가 배터리 충전을 위한 충전토크를 출력하도록 하고, 감속 주행시에도 피견인차량의 모터가 배터리 충전이 가능한 크립 토크 또는 회생제동 토크를 출력하도록 함으로써, 피견인차량의 배터리 충전이 용이하게 이루어질 수 있도록 한 친환경 차량의 토잉모드 제어 방법을 제공하고자 한 것이다.
