An embodiment of the present invention provides a forklift capable of calculating the height of a fork. The forklift includes a driving unit in a forklift including a fork. The driving unit provides power for raising and lowering the fork. In addition, it includes a calculating unit that receives information from the driving unit and calculates the current height of the fork. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the forklift can effectively provide information calculated on the current height of the fork to a driver. Specifically, a forklift according to an embodiment of the present invention can calculate the current height of the fork using current information and rotation speed information of the driving unit. Therefore, the current height of the fork can be effectively provided to the driver without a separate sensor for detecting the height of the fork.
