The invention relates to space technology and, in particular, to a method and technology for producing large-sized antennas with transformable large-sized reflectors. The proposed method includes a preliminary calculation of the finite element model of the reflector, assembling fragments of antenna shape-forming structure on the floor, without using any technological template with the account of the stress-strain state of that shape-forming structure and the load-bearing frame of the reflector, and adjusting the working surface of the reflector without using any technological template (templates) to assemble and tune the reflector. The technical result of the invention is to provide the geometric characteristics of working surface of the reflector and the forces right after the assembly without the need to adjust it in the reflector. The proposed manufacturing method will ensure a given surface shape with relatively small deviations, as well as uniform tension forces of the cords of its shaping structure as early as the initial assembly stage by consideration of the effect of internal stresses, without the use of cumbersome, labor-intensive process equipment, and reduce the time and cost of manufacturing of the reflector.
