Provided herein are universal compact tractor storage systems including a mounting bracket having opposing vertical mounting supports, the supports spaced apart to receive at least one of an upper hook yoke of a quick hitch or a center link yoke of a quick hitch therebetween, at least two mounting holes formed in each support, the mounting holes positioned to align with one or more holes of the upper hook yoke or the center link yoke and to receive a mounting bolt or pin extending through the upper hook yoke or the center link yoke therethrough, and a baseplate including a payload support plate and opposing assembly tabs spaced apart to receive the vertical mounting supports therebetween, the assembly tabs including at least one bracket assembly hole corresponding to a baseplate assembly hole of one of the vertical mounting supports and sized to receive an assembly bolt or pin therethrough.
