A method of managing a hydrogen fuel system for a propulsion system of an aircraft includes determining that the hydrogen fuel system is operating outside of a predefined operating range based on information that is indicative of operation of the hydrogen fuel and storage system and/or propulsion system operation. The method further includes obtaining information relating to at least one aircraft operating characteristic, and determining a corrective action pertaining to the hydrogen fuel and storage system that maintains an acceptable operating condition of the aircraft propulsion system in view of the determined operation outside of the operating parameter.
