This paper takes searching effectiveness and jamming effectiveness as the entry point to study optimization and control problems of cooperative formation configuration of Manned/Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. We build evaluation models of searching and jamming effectiveness, and establish quantitative relationship between mission effectiveness and formation configuration, so as to realize the optimization design of the formation configuration, and solve the problem that what formation configuration is required in order to meet specific task demands. Also, we establish the Manned/Unmanned Aerial Vehicle formation keeping strategies and corresponding control methods for missions, and calculate actual mission effectiveness to further check the feasibility of the optimization methods for the formation configuration proposed in this paper.
