The airborne very high frequency data broadcast (VDB) receiver is the important part of the ground-based augmentation systems (GBAS). It receives and processes VDB signals from GBAS ground stations and combines with the positioning and navigation (PAN) equipment of the onboard GBAS system to provide precision approach and landing guidance for the aircraft. Based on the structure of airborne VDB receiver, this paper analyzes and studies the performance indexes of airborne VDB receiver, including sensitivity, dynamic range and carrier tracking, and simulates the relationship between the performance indexes and related parameters with MATLAB. The simulation results meet the requirements of DO-253D standard and can provide reference for formulating airworthiness standard of GBAS airborne VDB receiver.
