In this paper, the mechanical behavior of adhesive-single-bonded strap joints with a different number of adhesive layers subjected to flexural loading was examined. A 3-point bending test was performed on 6 samples, three with the strap at the top and three with the strap at the bottom were subjected to tests, and failure behavior was studied. It was found that the samples with the highest adhesive layer reached the maximum load values. The samples with the strap up showed better durability compared to those with the strap down. Separation of the bonded regions appeared in the 3 samples that were tested in the upward position, however, the samples tested in the downward position did not separate after crack initiation. It is believed such research on the single strap joints provides useful information for the designers as this type is one of the main configurations used especially for the repair of aerospace structures.
