Fully automatic operation system(FAO) in metro has a huge potential because of its efficiency and automation. Meanwhile, the autonomous train needs more advanced technologies to ensure its safe operation. The objective of this paper is to demonstrate how to deal with autonomous train control uncertainty and give a possible solution to realize a resilient metro system. Accidental causal scenarios searching algorithm based on Systems-Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA) is presented. Related safety requirements and risk control measures are taken in Beijing Yanfang Line as case study. Besides, worst-case testing cases need to be done to verify autonomous train could deal with these potential accidental scenarios.
