With the design of multiple constellations in the ESM systems, some drawbacks are discovered. In order to relax these drawbacks, in this work, a new design of spatial modulation with hybrid constellations (SM-HC) is designed to increase the squared minimum Euclidean distance (MED) between the transmit vectors. Firstly, system model of the SMHC is introduced. Secondly, with the same information bits, one high-order signal constellation point ($\mathbf{C P}$) is replaced by two low-order signal CPs for further improving the squared MED. Furthermore, the comparisons of squared MEDs is analyzed. Finally, through the simulation results with MATLAB, the proposed SM-HC is verified the advantage of bit error rate performance in comparisons with the ESM scheme.
