An incoherent OCDMA test-bed based on FBR technology with implemented 2D-TW OCDMA codes was used to investigate the influence of interference noise (IN) on the system BER performance. An all-optical signal processing technique was investigated to eliminate MAI+IN in this type of systems. The results demonstrate that this form of noise introduces significant system power penalties but its impact can be lowered by a combination of proper design of network parameters and by use of all-optical signal processing techniques.
