The increase in industries and urban lifestyle has led to many developments and much more economic growth. However, there is also a negative side to this, namely, the generation of Pollution and Waste. The increased quantity of waste is eventually leading to huge threats to mankind. The huge amount of waste generated needs to be handled properly in a sustainable way for the betterment of the world. This paper aims to develop sustainable waste management techniques for the betterment of society. The waste-to-energy production techniques are developing day by day. In this paper, some of the techniques of sustainable waste management by producing energy from it are discussed. The generation of electricity from Dry Waste and, the generation of Biogas from wet waste is the main focus. The steps involved like Segregation, Collection, Treatment, Energy Generation, and Residual Waste are discussed in the paper. Overall, the generation of electricity from dry and wet waste has a great potential to contribute to sustainable energy for the future by reducing waste and providing clean energy.
