The focus of this paper is to provide a brief demonstration of a robot, which is able to help astronaut in different planetary surface and space station. The robot is specially a rover, which is able to perform mainly mining and collecting sample regolith from planetary surface and different astronaut assistive tasks such as grabbing or carrying something, drilling etc. The sample regolith can be stored in the storage, which is attached with the rover. The entire controlling of the rover can be accomplished by a remote from a distant place, which can be 50–70 meters from the rover. The data is transmitted from the user to rover with XBee and received in the rover with another XBee in the receiver. The astronaut assistive tasks such as grabbing, carrying something and so on can be done with the human command as it has a robotic arm with a driller which can be replaced with a grabbing hand. The developed model of the rover is an efficient one for astronaut assistance and can be developed with other high quality materials for greater efficiency further. This paper shows brief and almost compact discussion about this rover model and implementation.
