A dual band-pass filter is proposed in this research work for the application in wireless LAN. The Stepped Impedance Resonator (SIR) structures and open stubs are used for the purpose. Proposed design uses two centrally-loaded stepped-impedance resonators to tune the second band-pass filter. Simulated results show that two central frequencies are located at the desired 2.5 and 5.6 GHz which is suitable for WLAN applications. Defective Ground Surface (DGS) is utilized to improve the selectivity of the proposed filter.
